I began this day with a share asking what is the feel of the day? I received my answer from a guest on MJ. His answer to the question, what do you hope ppl take away from your show (Heaux Church), he answered simply, "you are enough." That is a good feel. 🌹

Part of it had to do with culture. We all have the right on Blue to express ourselves, but I believe nothing causes a furor like religion. And Dems seemed to take the blame for being anti-religious. We just lost the ability to talk to each other, respect our differences. It is a different country.

The message of hope and optimism that was the cornerstone of Obamas campaigns got lost in a sea of negativity pushed out by right wing 'news' channels and big corporations. By 2024 both sides spent the campaign just attacking each other which suited the GOP because their policies were terrible.

I am honestly unsure of what happened after Pres Obama was elected. It is easy to say racism, hate and yes these are true. America was founded on racism. Native Americans will attest to that. How did so many Amers fall behind other Amers? How was dark money allowed in politics? The greed. The power.

I can only imagine! During these times, I go back to how I felt when Pres Obama was elected. The optimism of a different country, of all the possibilities. And yet, here we are.
