He must think it's torture to have to respect other people.

you're gonna see, well, decidedly mixed results

once corporate power and authoritarians have finished defanging the federal regulatory state they're going to shift the entirety of their funds and energy toward demolishing state rights so they can sell the country for scrap off the back loading dock

An important message to the people of New York City.

A lot of Trump's support depends on the MAGAs thinking their ideas are actually popular but are being suppressed by the "woke" left. The large, divers crowds at the No Kings events make it clear most people hate him and what he's doing.
Your post was quite funny given the awful ideas about gender, biology, and power dynamics in the Dune series

Interesting (accurate) read on current events.
My takeaway was that the Civil War never actually ended bc the people responsible were never punished and we've been having a civil cold war for the last 150 years thats just boiling over now.
when all is said and done it looks reasonably likely that bin laden will have taken down not just the us but the entire west
I think a lot of people split their votes and in 2020 it was pretty obvious Trump was going to lose. This time the Trump show will be an albatross around Collins' neck.
Stancil is right about this. I'm a Platner supporter but I'm glad Mills entered the race because beating Mills will be very important signal to everyone that he has the juice to go all the way.
I don't understand why every single democrat isn't calling for impeachment of this entire administration. They are just blatantly ignoring the law. Even if you know you will lose, start the damn fight!
Sure, but China is so big that the working age population would still be bigger than the US even if there are lots of retirees. Also, retirees aren't a big drag on an economy unless you allow a for-profit healthcare system to gouge everyone on costs.
This is one of the things I'll never forgive Biden for.
And it will take a generation for the GOP to make the South so shitty that white voters finally defect.
If SCOTUS guts the Voting Rights Act we’ll be facing a permanent Republican House majority because there will be zero representation again of black southerners after the districts are gerrymandered to insure that.
You can take that to the bank.

Court reform is the only way out of this authoritarian trap. Expand, restructure jurisdiction, channel, new courts—the works.

Tonight’s dumb napkin cartoon…
A bunch of towns in Maine as well.
Or perhaps Kansas City is a smaller Dallas. I'm more familiar with KC but all the big cities I've been to in the middle of the country feel similar to me.
13 for me:

Boston
NYC
Chicago
Los Angeles
Kansas City
San Francisco
Portland, OR
Philly
Miami
New Orleans
Las Vegas
DC
Atlanta

what do i think would work? focusing on class and race and gender and with a particular focus on progressive-leaning politics that appeal to a large majority of americans, centered around a campaign using MODERN communications. but nobody wants to bother with that.

sanders has this idea that making a class-based appeal is a silver bullet, and he can essentially ignore racism and misogyny. meanwhile the mainline dems are obsessed with the idea of flipping republicans.

both avenues are bad.

All without a single cent of corporate PAC money.

Thank you to every grassroots donor who’s tired of the DC establishment losing winnable elections to Republicans.
The size and demographics of the crowds at Platner's events are an indication his appeal goes well beyond "hipsters"
Oh look. The wealthy are trying to buy themselves another Senate seat.
As Vonnegut said “You are who you pretend to be. So be careful who you pretend to be.“ It really doesn’t matter if it was a joke or not.
I'm sure all the little investors know more than all the hedge funds powered by hugely expensive and complicated mathematical algorithms, right?
