The government has killed 32 people in 7 strikes with no evidence they were traffickers. The admiral leading the mission quit. If we had proof, they’d face a court, not a drone.

The law still applies, even to suspected drug traffickers, and right now, the Administration’s story isn’t adding up.

I genuinely think his days are numbered, health-wise, and he knows it. This is an attempt to have something left behind with his name on it. "The Trump Ballroom", knowing that no-one after him will be "brazen" enough to demolish it in the same way he has the east wing.

I wouldn't have known it was a Nazi thing if it was shown to me out of context. Which is why I could easily believe that Platner got the tattoo initially because "neat, a skull" and didn't think much about it past that. But even if it started that way he clearly found out at some point and kept it.

Declaring that someone is unfit to run for a public office is not the same thing as declaring that they should be banished from human society forever or publicly executed. No one is owed a Senate nomination

Let's keep this simple. This is not about whether Platner is an irredeemable person, or whether he can be forgiven. This is not about whether people were wrong to find him an intruging candidate in his initial appearances — I agree that he was. It's about who will be the Democratic candidate in a critical Senate in Maine, and "got a Nazi tattoo and still has it" is transparently disqualifying. You cannot be explaining your Nazi tattoo and defeat a multi-term incumbent who has consistently punched above her party's weight in the state. His allies are not doing him any favors if they allow him to believe otherwise, and if you don't like Mills you need to find someone else to challenge her.

Oh yeah and it’s really bad too. He’s trying to claim he didn’t know it was a Nazi symbol until he started his campaign. He’s not just a Nazi he’s also a liar.

But according to a person who socialized with Platner when he was living in Washington, D.C., more than a decade ago, Platner had specifically acknowledged that the tattoo was a Totenkopf, the "death's head" symbol adopted by an infamous Nazi SS unit that guarded concentration camps in World War II.
"He said, 'Oh, this is my Totenkopf," the former acquaintance told Jewish Insider recently, speaking on the condition of anonymity to address a sensitive issue. "He said it in a cutesy little way."
