When I was working at CBS Sports, LWT taped on a sound stage across the hall from us at the Broadcast Center on 57th, which is where news is as well. I imagine Bari emerges from a car service every morning and goes straight to her C Suite, but it would be nice if she ran into Oliver along the way.

I’m constantly trying to remind myself how I’m probably better off with less followers. If you’re doing public work and trying to have a public profile it’s counterintuitive I guess, but the amount of extra labor (emotional and otherwise) involved seems astronomical.

The line about the man with the most power expending enormous energy targeting those with the least really got me. I think you can broaden the aperture beyond this specific issue and across party lines. People with nothing to lose consistently abandoning those on the brink of losing everything.
