My cherished personal gaming feat: GBA Astro Boy: Tetsuwan Atom Omega Factor Hard Mode CLEAR! It was worth facing so many deaths in achieving that feat especially. It remains a personal GBA favorite and one of my favorite Treasure games. A neat gateway into checking out Tezuka Osamu’s other works!
The Japanese title screen of Astro Boy: Omega Factor. A homage to the intro of the 1963 anime series. All three cleared save files on Easy, Normal and Hard, marked in dark blue signifying 100% completion. Astro Boy (Tetsuwan Atom) defeating the true final boss Majin Garon and Pook. The true ending in Rebirth mode. Astro and Nuka are restored to life with a gift from the Phoenix.

Of all the reviews for the seemingly overpriced and underwhelming ROG Xbox Ally X, this one made me laugh the hardest because the cover image shows a Sony console exclusive running on the hardware

If that's not evidence this thing isn't an Xbox in anything more than brand name, I don't know what is

If you go back to the original Xbox and the 360, both had loads of games that were weird and experimental and incredibly unique.

One of those was Phantom Dust.

Another was Viva Piñata.

Another was Breakdown.

And another was 'Splosion Man.

These were all games you could ONLY find on Xbox!

If Microsoft wants to win Xbox gamers back, they ought to look at Nintendo.

Nintendo makes great games run flawlessly on underpowered hardware. They prioritize art and design over raw power and tech specs.

That's how you beat Sony, because their approach has always been to be a jack of all trades.

I'm not an Xbox hater by any means. I think we need a strong competitor to Sony. I still wish Sega and Microsoft had teamed up back in 1999 as planned and we'd had a stronger Sega console than the awesomely underrated Dreamcast.

But Microsoft has made it hard to root for Xbox the last few years.

But Sony learned their lesson, and Nintendo was off doing their own thing.

The PlayStation 3 eventually caught up and the PS4 was the console gamers wanted while the Xbox One felt like it was out of step with where gaming was going.

Then Microsoft started focusing on raw power rather than content

There's no question the Xbox 360 was Microsoft's day in the sun.

It arrived a year before the PlayStation 3 and the Wii. Sony's dismissive arrogance was so strong Microsoft was able to take advantage of their hubris and build a solid competitor with great exclusives, multiplayer and indie games.

By the time Halo 2 came out in 2004, I was playing my Xbox regularly alongside my PS2 and Gamecube.

The Xbox had some great exclusives I've mentioned before. I can think of at least a dozen more beyond these.

It was truly an underdog of a console that turned out to be pretty solid in the end.
You know, the original Xbox was a pretty special platform!

It felt like it was trying to dominate your living room with its size and form factor, but it had some great ideas behind it and it had some great exclusives beyond Halo, Ninja Gaiden and SW:KOTOR!

Here are 10 I really liked. (A thread)

When the original Xbox came out, I was a skeptic, and I hated the original controller. Aside from Halo, the games were meh and the console wasn't as nice as my PS2.

But in 2003, I bought one to play Halo and Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. The Xbox had improved a lot by then!

3. Project Gotham Racing 2

Racing on the Xbox rarely got better than this street racer that rewards stylish driving as much as technical skill. There's tons to do, and it's also the first game to include Geometry Wars as an Easter Egg minigame!

2. Panzer Dragoon Orta

Orta is the least of the Panzer Dragoon games, and yet it's still absolutely incredible in its own right. That's a pretty strong endorsement, and this game also had the original Panzer Dragoon hidden inside it as an Easter Egg
