A McDonald's that is ostensibly in Gotham City, where themed supervillains regularly murder people at interesting locations.

Comics will mend your heart, if you let them. When I was a scared, lonely, closeted kid, the Marvel universe’s heroes were there for me when very little else was. That is a debt I can never pay back, but one I’ve tried with great travail to pay forward. I want to believe we have afforded a little of that same refuge to those who sought it. I hope you saw yourself; please know you were seen. Til we all meet again (and may it be soon), may you find each other. May you find yourself. Remember that there’s always time – but waste no time. And what is broken is still beautiful.

Above all, remember love. It is all that lasts.

We read Wolverines and Deadpools! I really enjoyed it especially the end. I know people are 50/50 on the most recent run but I’ve really like Jed MacKay’s current run that leads into the Age of Revelation. The From the Ashes run of Exceptional Xmen is also very good

Yeah, towards the end it gets muddy but it has the “kids in a school” vibe I really liked and the Bill Sienkiewicz art is amazing

I think for classic flavor xmen I’d suggest giant sized xmen and then the phoenix saga and then the dark phoenix which unlocks a lot of backstory for a lot of the characters. We call that climbing the Claremountain lol 2/2

Hey there! I’m so happy to hear you’re liking the Pool party. I think for beginners Giant Sized Xmen is a good foundation for basic characters but I’m also a fan of diving into an arc. I really enjoyed reading all of New Mutants which we did marathon style. 1/2

I’m blown away how much @allisonparent.bsky.social has liked Age of Apocalypse. It’s an event I didn’t have a ton of affection for the first time I read it, but in conversation with my spouse (and in our current hell world) a lot of the themes hit harder and the art is unimpeachable. #xspoilers
