I've never been sentimental about things. They are just objects/stuff--I like my cute trinkets, decorations, and what not, but they come and go with the wind

Culturally and in the veins of the music industry bandcamp is still the best tool.

I dont see that changing anytime soon

It will eventually, because thats how these things work. But the whole indistry is fucked--at least there is still some recourse for publishing in a way that actually works

Yup. Brad Sanders is a fucking legend, among others. And they still keep this up with great efficacy in multiple genres and for all marginalized demographics

Yeah the (twice)buy out is unideal and ultimately all companies are bastards but

There is no better alternative. Ethically or business wise.

Its still the best place by far, still just as functional, still the same

Its also the ONLY platform through its press and article features routinely highlighting trans women in metal and getting them meaningful attention. Myself, @lusthag.bsky.social Morke and many others have had big features

I think a good point is made here that you don't need to spend money. It's why I removed the limited play limits from my Bandcamp so you can stream it as much as you want. (Inspired by @etherdiver.bsky.social who also does this).

I think at the time the style shift really bounced off me, but once I understood what they were doing it pretty quickly became peak to me. It's tough to beat out Visions, but ultimately I think that modernized sound works better for Timo's voice.

I also released four albums that year but only 2 of them were good (Sleepy Plessow by Judicator and Neverwhere Dreamscape by Project: Roenwolfe)

That year also had Leprous's Coal and DGM's Momentum and The Ocean's Pelagial which rank extremely high in my favorites of all time

2013 was one of the best years for music for me in general -- many favorites of all time for me come from that year.
