I now have 7 active job applications with DC. Let's see if I get one

146/680: AQUAMAN: YO-HO-HOLD ONTO YOUR HOOK! #15 (2025)

As typical, much clever reinterpretation here of classic DC iconography (red skies, the Psycho-Pirate) for maritime lore. Best vertical scrolling trick: the flashes of Psycho-Pirate’s mask, dictating the changing mood of the scene.

145/680: STRAY TOASTERS #3 (1988)

For what is essentially an intently broad artistic piece drawing a sketch of a sequential story about the misogynistic explosion of a domestic partnership expressed through violence, there sure is a lot of nonsense stream-of-consciousness dialogue on every page.

We all know she's more impressed by Superman anyway.

Well, I wouldn’t assume Kate was pregnant if she threw up either
alexjaffe.bsky.social
Just like you can always tell a woman is pregnant in a story if she throws up, you can always tell a woman is going to sleep with a man if she ever calls him “impressive”

This is still less embarrassing than when you were scrambling for a Raya from Raya and the Last Dragon card

We’re throwin’ a show. Good DJs (Alien D did the Highlight Reel intro music). I’ll be there. I’ll probably be able to walk!
The aftermath party poster, October 28th at TV Eye. 10 for subscribers, 12 otherwise. Sounds by Janus Rose, Alien D, Actuator.

I make my triumphant return to The @insertcredit.com Show... as host!? Highlights include actual coin-flipping and bending the show’s format to my evil whims by making the panel design games based on the names of Motern Media films. Listen now:

I don’t know if I’d describe any of her costumes as bondage gear but I don’t know a lot about that culture

“Wow, he got old”

Me, whenever I look at someone I knew about 20 years ago, except for some reason Weird Al Yankovic

I keep looking at this number go up like “Okay, Starman”

This G Willow Wilson run on Poison Ivy just keeps on going, luxuriating in multi-year long-form storytelling about a B-tier DC Comics character despite the fact that it’s not the 1990s anymore. It’s the world of possibilities I want to live in

We rise, we fall, we rise again.

People get so upset when I tell them I haven’t seen the Watchmen show

Sometimes you don’t read a comic just so you don’t have to talk about that comic

I love that this movie just has The Scarecrow from Batman in it as a character. Like the actual guy, Jonathan Crane. Batman himself never shows up. More stuff should just be in the DC universe for no reason like this

The animated horror comedy ‘Happy Halloween, Scooby-Doo!’ featuring the voice talents of Frank Welker, Matthew Lillard, Cassandra Peterson, Dwight Schultz, and Bill Nye was released direct-to-DVD in the US five years ago this week. 🎃 🐾 🔎 #OTD

Promised my dad I would tell him about what happened in Toy Story when I went to see it in 1995, but I had to take a bathroom break and missed a scene, and was extremely anxious through the rest of the movie and all the way home that I wouldn’t be able to relate the full story
