If Labour are willing to bin their manifesto pledges on tax rises, why not on Brexit?

That would win them far, far more votes than raising taxes ever will. Indeed, tax rises are likely to crater their weak support even further.

What's so magical about Brexit that it must remain untouchable?

The first thing Yaxley-Lennon did on leaving court was to thank Elon Musk for funding his legal costs.

That's Elon Musk who has repeatedly called for civil war in the UK.

As of typing this - all of the major politicians and platforms maintain a presence on X and it is time for them all to leave.

👏 Today marks 75 years since the creation of the ECHR.

We should celebrate the vision that Winston Churchill showed in recognising everyone’s human rights.

But there are now calls for the UK to leave ECHR.

As with Brexit, leaving would strip all of us of fundamental rights.

That is a flat out blatant lie. Farage and anyone who proposed Brexit, are the ones responsible for the current cost of living crisis.

Next time someone tells you that train drivers "just push buttons" show them this from the BBC

The driver "managed to contact the control
centre at Network Rail and get the train
diverted onto the slow line", Calder says.

"That was absolutely crucial because this
train was scheduled to be travelling through
Huntingdon station on the tracks with no
platform at 125mph."

"It didn't stop in the middle of nowhere,
which would have been very difficult."

Calder thinks this was handled in the "safest
possible way" thanks to the "incredible
professionalism from the driver and the
police". Train drivers are trained on how to

I've never been a Royal Family fan but in Nobody's Girl, when Virginia said she agreed to keep the details of her settlement under wraps for a year so as not to overshadow the Queen's Platinum Jubilee celebrations made them dislike them even more.

In Scotland it was always big. We called it "Guising". Definitely no "trick or treat". Bonfire night was more a celebration of sectarian oppression, given that the "guy" on the Bonfire was originally an effigy of a Catholic...and originally a real person!
