finally, alibis for cheap! your honor, i was on vacation in italy at the time of the crime.
a flushable tampon would last for way less time and drastically increase the odds of TSS. not worth it imo!

maybe improvements w sewer systems could be made though?? idk enough about that to say for sure. it would be so nice to just be able to flush them 😭
i totally get where ur coming from but i'd like to add on, the reason we can't make tampons flushable is the same reason they're safe to use for a few hours- they're resistant to excess breakdown due to moisture + friction. to be flushable it'd have to be neither of these things, like toilet paper.
THIS i said basically the same thing. when our meat comes to us already processed, it makes it harder for us to understand the weight of what it took for that meal to get to us. i bet if a lot of the people who eat meat had to butcher an animal themself they'd swear off of it altogether.
if you find you can't stomach the thought of ending a living creature's life, then you probably shouldn't be able to stomach the outcome of that process either. whether it's by your hands or a worker's, a life was ended to feed you and you need to understand that.
i feel like most people don't understand where their food comes from and what it took for it to get to their plate. obviously i value human lives more than cows, but taking ANY life is something that should be treated with seriousness, not indifference. butchering forces you to confront that.
not my most important one but: if you want to eat meat, you should be required to butcher at least one animal in your life. i say this as someone who eats meat.
Do you have any extremely niche, but serious, ethical stances?

back in the old days you had to be a millionaire to do insider trading. now all you need to do is be a niche internet microcelebrity and make a memecoin to peddle to slobbering cryptobros.
i guess crypto really did create a more equal market in that it's easier than ever to pull off a market manipulation scheme.
send completely trustworthy tech company your drivers license so you can sext robot that eats your data. Awesome. i love where we're at as a society.
annoying phenomenon i've noticed on bluesky
the concept of someone being afraid of their dog being autistic is hilarious to me. like what would an "autistic" dog do that would be different from a typical dog? is it gonna develop a special interest in digging holes? is it gonna be overstimulated in public spaces? thats like all dogs ever cmon
May I remind everyone that there is currently NO cure for rabies.

May I also remind everyone there is absolutely NO scientific proof connecting ANY vaccine that we produce today with autism.

This is true regarding vaccination in both humans AND in dogs.

Vaccinate your pets please.

Everything Falling Apart, Reports Institute For Somehow Managing To Hold It All Together https://theonion.com/everything-falling-apart-reports-institute-for-somehow-1819569822/
it's awesome how consistently it'll turn out that said poll only surveyed like 100 gen z people and was conducted by "Toughening Up your Snowflake Children, Inc."
...looking about Surveymonkey's business model briefly, it looks like respondents are indirectly incentivized to complete surveys haphazardly or inaccurately to get their payment quicker. When each survey only pays a handful of cents, respondents probably aren't really invested accuracy.
As a relationship counseling service, Vantage Point has a vested interest in over-representing or encouraging 'AI relationships' to occur- they will profit on the fear of cheating and the dishonesty it could create.

And compensation for surveys is normal- I myself have done so in the past, but...
Vantage Point Counseling Services, who conducted the study, is a relationship counseling service. In the study's methodology, they mention using Surveymonkey, a service which (at a cursory glance) seems to pay users for answering surveys at their leisure. Both these facts are problematic imo.
