🧶👵 protest the introduction of new NSW Planning laws at NSW Parliament House today. The laws are meant to fast track housing but will allow the Minister to approve projects without oversight - even by local councils. A 🎁 4 developers at the expense of our environment. www.abc.net.au/news/2025-10...

Scitech (WA Science Museum) is sponsored by a few fossil fuel companies. Including Woodside who provide "free" access to STEM club for kids.

Free = access to educational opportunities in exchange for promoting Woodside. The cost to students is the loss of a liveable planet.

Good deal kids?
Screen shot of scitech website with their logo at top and text that reads:
"More Information

Through the support of Woodside, this program is provided for free* over the course of a Term to select schools, and is available for delivery to primary schools in the Perth metro region. Schools will need to provide a staff member to enthusiastically support the program.

*A $500 refundable deposit is required for delivery of this program."
Last line is struck out in red pen replaced with the text:
"* Program provided at no charge in exchange for promoting climate criminal Woodside. Cost to students includes the loss of a liveable planet."

🧵 Amongst this totally harmonious vibrancy of humans, from so many corners of the earth, sat 2 sour older folks, who deliberately sat down and scowled when one of their grandchildrens cohorts, gave a beautiful acknowledgement of country. Whose mean heart exuded from every pore. Not in my name!

This week i went to a graduation ceremony, in western Sydney.
I taught this gorgeous young adults when they were 10.
It was an absolutely glorious celebration of the transformative power of public education, of diversity and of outstanding, resilient young people. #nswtf #publiceducation

The 70's were cool (er). Lets get on that and make a bold move on climate targets. Step up! @albomp.bsky.social

Hey @albomp.bsky.social Nannas recorded an Aussie rock classic from the 70s just for you. But can you go this fast and hard for us? And give us a climate target in the 70s too?
Cause we can't afford to get any hotter than this. @chrisbowenmp.bsky.social

Hey Albo, it’s been A Long Way to The Top! But we’re expecting a lot from your 2nd set & we know you love❤️ AC/DC. So here’s little 🎵 to get your #climate mojo working – from some headbangin’ Nannas.
Go harder, go faster! More wind and solar! Less coal and gas!

The @knitnannassyd.bsky.social had an important message for the Prime Minister- that the EPBC is about PROTECTION of the environment, not a nifty acronym to throw around. But you weren't there?!

On a day when the Aussie gov own climate risk report predicts more deaths from extreme heat, millions facing flood and fire, & no more insurance us Knitting Nannas (and Albo’s dog Toto) will be keeping the pressure on. @albomp.bsky.social Join us wherever!

Shame. Shame.
Such a terrible decison.
I am shattered by this today.

The final approval of the 45-year expansion of Woodside’s North West Shelf gas export terminal is equivalent to building 12 new coal power stations.

It will undermine the nation's energy security, drive up energy prices & is the greatest giveaway of Australian natural resources ever.

North West Shelf final approval a climate, economic and energy security disaster
Australia Institute analysis shows today's final approval of the 45-year expansion of Woodside’s North West Shelf gas export terminal is equivalent to building 12 new coal power stations.

I hear you. Partnof me feels that had we shut it down with silence, it would have been smaller, maybe more toxic looking fringe.
But we also shouldn't ignore racism. We should call it out. Id be interested in a dialogue about this

I endorse every word of this. As a public servant in Commonwealth Ed and later NT education i witnessed all these steps.

Labor drank the coolaid of competition logic but it also cowtowed to a viscious catholic ed regime determined to keep its wealthy base
