Society of Applied Philosophy conference is back in Edinburgh next summer, and has @jennysaul.bsky.social and Ishani Maitra, amongst others, as keynotes - the call for abstracts has just gone out.
If you’re interested in practicing the philosophy of science in practice why not come along to an online workshop “the philosophy of science in practice - in practice”? #philsci

Absolutely Alisa! I was here on holiday 10 years ago and the place is more beautiful than photos can convey. 😊
Seville — and it is 31 Celsius 🤩
Heading to Madrid where on Tuesday I will be giving a talk at @uneduniv.bsky.social courtesy of my excellent colleague David Teira. My first time in Madrid — very much looking forward to catching up with the vibrant community of philosophers of science there.

In Paris today for the next two days for this interesting conference that brings together astrophysicists, international lawyers and political philosophers to discuss who owns the Moon and Outer Space, freedom of scientific exploration and common heritage of humankind.
Look forward to speaking soon at the Collège de France for a conference on Outer Space Treaty and Moon Agreement — I will go back to the principle of common heritage of humankind, and against neo-colonialist interpretations I argue for a human-rights approach to it.

Our special issue of Marine Policy on coastal communities and their local knowledges is now out. You can read our introductory essay below. Many thanks to my wonderful colleagues Abbe Brown and Marcel Jaspars for the collaboration and to the Royal Society of Edinburgh for support.

I was sort of a regular between 2012-2017 then they somehow dropped quite a bit the HPS coverage in terms of topics, I must say (the previous editor was very interested in HPS and went on to pursue a different career path as a historian of medicine eventually).
Oh thank you Anna! Nice to see this episode from 2012 remembered — I did 4 episodes back in the old days (on scientific method, on Berkeley, on Pauli and on Pascal). This is my favourite:
