And SOMEONE thought it's a good idea to have him illustrate fairy tales.

Behold, the art that broke me at the tender age of 6 when I decided to read my Mom's Andersen anthology for myself.

A gloomy, misty, and green forest seems to devour completely lost Thumbelina who looks like she's about four years old. An ethereal, giant toad observes the child from afar, deciding to kidnap her as a bride for the toad's son.

It had been an uneventful day. Opri and Vincent were heading back from the bath house through Dock Town. Opri was a little distracted as they walked beside the human, falling behind every now and then when they got too lost in thought. Nothing new there, really. Vincent was used to the elf daydreaming. Today Opri was slower than usual however.

“What are you thinking about so hard that your legs stop working, hm?” Vincent asked, teasing the other as they waited for them.

Opri turned their head to them with a bit of a delay, then pointing at the scaffoldings on a ledge nearby. They walked over and peered down. People were going about their business below them. “Was wondering if this height would be enough to kill or if one would need to fall from a greater height.”

Vincent frowned. Why in the Fade was the elf thinking about that? They walked up to them, placing a firm hand on their shoulder without saying anything. The hand covered Opri’s shoulder in its entirety.
Only now realising how their wondering might have sounded, Opri snorted a laugh, “I’m not planning to jump, Vince, geez.” Vincent’s grip on them loosened a little but they still kept their hand on the elf.

There was some commotion from below and both of them looked down. People were yelling at someone up where they were standing. Looking around it turned out to be a man, pissing down the ledge. Probably drunk. Hopefully. Who would do that sober?! Opri wrinkled their nose at the sight while Vincent just groaned, annoyed by people’s idiocy.
Opri glanced around and then grinned almost gleefully, turning their gray eyes up to Vincent as they did so. The human arched a brow. Then Opri summoned a spectral hand just behind the man who was now shaking the last drops over the ledge. With a small flick of their wrist, the hand pushed. Spectral matter met the man’s back and he started tipping, catching on to what was happening much too late. He flapped his arms as if doing so would turn them into wings and Opri snickered at the sight. Another little push had the man falling off the scaffolding. People under them scattered with screams as they broke the spell, watching the man plummet down. There was a satisfying crack when his head hit the ground. He lay there motionless as people slowly approached him, Opri and Vincent watching the scene from above.

“What do you know, guess it is enough.”

I'm CommanderEclipse and I love drawing a mix of armor, monsters, monstergirls, and sometimes all at once.

Mostly on the monster kick lately given the season.

Hoof fungus #fungi

A fallen moss covered beech trunk with a group of spaced out hoof fungi. They are large bulbous bracket like fungus with coarse wrinkled tops of banded grey colours. Underneath they are smooth and white. A sprinkling of golden brown autumnal leaves are on the log and hoof fungus
