The thing is, none of this is unusual. They are always the main character. He’s leaving out the message she left him bc it explains why.

I got some truly terrifying news today. Not involving myself, but my mail carrier had another substitute today which is not unusual. She apparently has a lot of vacation time built up. This substitute carrier told me that just two days ago she was attacked by a pack of dogs. I can't even imagine.
