Im wondering how much is also TPC. TPC manages the budgets for Pokemon games, and GF is not given jack shit compared to normal Nintendo games. For comparison, go look up the trailer for GF's upcoming non-Pokemon, non-Nintendo, multiplatform game Beast of Reincarnation.

I think TPC must give them either more time or a bigger budget.
Although i sometimes wonder if another company should take over duties regarding the main Pokemon games (even if that realisticly won't happen)

Credits on Legends Z-A.
Overall an 8/10, I liked it way, way more than I did Legends Arceus.
I love the continued story from X/Y, and I wish they'd do that more in Pokemon mainlines, but meh. That'd require TPC to care and let Game Freak cook, and we know that can't happen.

I wonder if Gamefreak / TPC randomly decided to take say.. the engine from HGSS, and make new content or say, took black and white 2 and made another story within the same engine just to make a BW 3, would people still complain?

Yeah, it’s a big problem too when TPC calls the shots on what Pokemon games will or won’t get made alongside the scheduling, budget and resources giving to Game Freak. It’s a very frustrating situation too.

For me, I just wish TPC would let Game Freak flex their creative muscles on more games away from Pokemon by allowing the devs to gain new experiences and rejuvenate their passion rather than constantly grinding on making Pokemon games almost every single year.

Pokémon Legends ZA is shonky as, but it's got a lot of heart.
20 hours in and I'm a big fan of the battle system, the writing and the music, and I'm having a good enough time...
But I still can't help but imagine what ZA could have been if TPC actually gave GameFreak a real budget.

I get being upset at stuff we lost re: the teraleak but Gamefreak has clearly been chokeholded by TPC and their timeframes for years, and it's shown most since games started to be 3d. They don't ever get enough time to fully cook, but still clearly try to put heart into their games

I know it's beating a dead horse at this point, but seriously.
TPC and GameFreak HAVE to stop treating Pokemon like a low budget game series. There HAS to be more effort put into how they make these games. For the last few games, the lack of VA has been INSANE, ESPECIALLY when Masters EX exists.

And for those that want to say that they aren't the same type of game. Just compare PLZA to New Pokémon Snap, a game in the same franchise and you can see how graphically poor it is compared to the game that Bandai made for TPC.

Didn't this title /have/ more time on it than would have been standard? Like typically we would have seen it last year IRC?
The problem lies entirely with TPC / Nintendo than with Gamefreak, it's the problem of the entire pokemon market forcing them to crunch and ship things out the door ASAP

see the tragic problem is that other than dlc existing, scarvi and legends are fantastic pokemon games. i can be mean to tpc. you'd cry at the things i say to people i consider sentient when they say swsh is anything other than the most offensive trash to exist

My wife read/translated those leaked Game Freak documents and she said that it sounds like a lot of issues going on within Game Freak center around really poor management and TPC (The Pokémon Company) not lending enough support/resources during development.
