I'm a big Moomin fan: I love Jansson way of to see the transcendent and magical in the natural world, the weird, the goofy, the softness that can just as easily shift to mischievous, alien, unknowable.

I've enjoyed the usual dive into a tunnel of archive photos and material culture to see how Welsh men and women dressed in the last century, I was inspired for the mountain character from the cabotain hat that Welsh woman donned with the traditional clothes.

The illustrations were inspired by the characters' nicknames, they're called "allomingius" in Sardinian: they're used to identify which Vincenzo you're talking about among twenty Vincenzis with the same first & last name, there are maybe three family names passed down from generation to generation.

Today in the the letterbox I found the issue #3 of Versanti Magazine. I've illustrated "Climbing the Hill and Descending the Mountain" an article by Tommaso Ciuffoletti, a story that begins in Wales and ends in Ecuador, with everything in between.

Oggi a San Sperate inizia l'edizione 2025 di Sant'Arte, con un programma ricchissimo. Queste sono le foto di Ettore Cavalli dell'edizione 2024, durante la quale io e Daniela Palumbo abbiamo presentato Che Cosa Senti? nella sua casa, il Giardino Sonoro di San Sperate.

Dopo aver abbracciato il letto per un certo numero di ore posso confermare che Fossili Viventi ha fatto la sua prima uscita nel mondo con una prova del fuoco fatta di letteralmente 100 bambine e bambini con mille domande, e un sold out delle copie del Salone (parole più belle della lingua italiana).
Se sei una libreria amichevole, un amichevole festivalino, in generale uno spazio in cui i libri sono a loro agio, scrivimi. Vado dappertutto, parlo con tutti, ho mille aneddoti e non vedo l’ora di farvi conoscere il libro su cui ho passato l'ultimo anno nella posa del gamberetto.
