Day 16, Part 1:

Stede really doesn’t want to go out tonight. He would much rather stay at home with his lupine lover, reading a good book with the gentle plip-plops of autumn rain dripping from the roof as background noise.

Izzy feels the same way, but he knows how important these dull office parties are, just the same as Stede.

“C’mon, lamb. Get up. You’ve been moping all day,” Izzy lifts the blanket partway over Stede with one clawed hand. He’s careful not to rip it.

“Oh, can’t we just skip this one?” Stede tries to pull the blanket back over his head, but Izzy’s grip remains firm.

“You skipped the last one. And the one before it. This is your f*cking career you’re risking.”

“Ugh, fine,” Stede groans and leaves his warm spot on the loveseat. His flat has proper HVAC now (thanks to Izzy’s help), so the chill of fall won’t bother him indoors, but he had gotten used to curling up in one area and pretending to hibernate. He pulls on his coat, puts on his shoes, and follows Izzy outside. The rain stops during the drive.

Izzy and Stede arrive on time to the party and are hit by different hybrid scents mixed with the smell of sandwiches.

“Heaven forbid the twins pay for proper catering,” Stede complains, “If I were in charge, there would be more than lukewarm ham and cheese on the menu.”

“The corporate twats wouldn’t like it,” Izzy remarks.

Stede scrunches his nose in displeasure. He can see the two awful managers now, skipping ahead of the sandwich line.

The Badmintons were a proud pride of lion hybrids who acted more entitled than real lions. They considered themselves above prey and “lesser” predator hybrids.

As a wolf hybrid, Izzy was strong and domineering, but wasn’t considered an equal to the twins. He still had to fight for his job. Stede only works for the company because of his late father’s substantial investments.

Day 16, Part 2:

Izzy is called over by one of his coworkers for an opinion on the decor, which is more of his partner’s thing, but the coworker and Stede don’t get along, so Stede stays behind.

The minutes go by and Stede is bored of standing alone in a corner. He’s only waved and smiled at the few people who like him. He’s unaware of the danger he’s in.

Nigel, the Badminton brother with long hair, turns to his brother with a receded hairline, Chauncey. He points Stede out to him and nods his head.

Chauncey nods back and sneaks into the stairwell. Nigel checks that Izzy’s attention is still off of his partner before making a beeline for the lonely sheep hybrid.

Stede’s ears fall at the sight of Nigel approaching. He is too stunned to call for Izzy, and is promptly grabbed by a large clawed hand and led into the stairwell. There, the twins both drag him to the alley outside.

“Poor little frightened lamb, you really should know better than to come to our territory,” Nigel taunts.

“He doesn’t know any better, brother. He’s just a stupid sheep. No better than a slab of meat,” Chauncey adds.

Stede finally gets the courage to shout for help. The twins laugh and sneer at him.

Suddenly, a dark shape appears from the street!

“Get the f*ck away from him,” Izzy growls. He bares his sharp teeth in challenge.

Nigel laughs harder, stepping up to shoo Izzy away. He is too slow to dodge the hard punch to his face, and falls to the ground, completely knocked out.

“No! You’ll pay for that, Hands!” Chauncey roars at Izzy.

“Come and get me, you mangy b*stard.”

Chauncey and Izzy swing their sharp claws at one another. Stede watches in horror as punch after punch is thrown. Finally, Izzy gets the upper hand and pushes Chauncey down.

Before the lion hybrid can get back up, he is pinned under a rolling dumpster. Izzy locks the brakes as he struggles.

Day 16, Part 3:

“Izzy!” Stede bleats in discomfort.

“It’s alright, lamb,” Izzy calls to his partner. He and Chauncey snarl at one another, then Izzy checks Stede for injuries.

After confirming that Stede is physically unharmed, Izzy feels an urge to mark him.

“Do you trust me?”

Stede breathes, “Yes.”

Izzy kisses Stede, pulling off both of their trousers and underwear. He pulls back to aim his hardening shaft at Stede’s groin and marks him with his warm urine.

Chauncey hisses. Such a public display of ownership is highly taboo!

Stede clings to his partner’s strong arms and sighs. He feels his inner walls clench with need.

When Izzy’s stream ends, he kisses Stede again and requests, “Mark me too, lamb.”

Stede pulls his mound upwards to aim his own stream of urine higher than usual, but it still only reaches Izzy’s knees. Despite that, Izzy wags his tail and growls softly into his ear.

“That’s absolutely disgusting! You’re both dirty, filthy animals!” The trapped lion hybrid spits.

Ignoring Chauncey completely, Stede lets himself be pushed against the wall by his lover, hiking up a leg in invitation. His front hole is wet from more than urine.

Izzy wipes his right hand on his clean shirt and checks Stede’s hole. It’s snug, but not tight. He supports his partner with his arms and hips and thrusts inside. They both groan in pleasure.

Stede is given a minute to breathe and relax before he’s taken apart slowly. He whimpers and clenches to entice Izzy to speed up, but the wolf hybrid is determined to bring his partner to climax without his knot.

Chauncey is revolted not just by the scene, but by the jealous feeling gnawing at his insides. He’ll never be able to claim such a sweet creature as Stede Bonnet. He clamps his eyes shut and tries to focus on anything other than the lovemaking.

Day 16, Part 4:

Stede finishes with a high moan. He’s expecting to feel Izzy’s knot lock into him, but his partner is pulling out, panting and still erect.

“Why didn’t you knot me?” Stede whines when Izzy pulls his underwear and trousers on.

“It’ll take too f*cking long to go down. I’ll knot you tonight.”

Stede huffs, but doesn’t argue; it’s a solid argument. He redresses too.

“How pathetic! I heard you were good at completing your tasks, dog, but I guess I heard wrong,” Chauncey sneers.

Izzy growls and kicks the foolish Badminton’s head, rendering him unconscious. He walks back to his partner, takes his hand, and walks them to their car. They don’t go back to the party.

“What should we tell everyone?” Stede asks during the drive home.

“What do you mean?”

“Well, whoever finds those two will pick up our scents.”

Izzy looks up at the dark, cloudy sky through the windshield, “It’s going to rain again. It’ll wash ‘em away.”

“But what if the Badmintons report us?” Stede’s voice raises in pitch.

“They’ll be too ashamed to talk, lamb. I don’t imagine they’d be happy to admit defeat by an old dog like me.”

“Oh, darling, you aren’t an old dog. You’re my old dog.”

Izzy cracks a smile. Stede smiles too.

~Later That Night~

Stede moans and shakes when his orgasm hits him. Izzy slows down, but doesn’t stop.

“Please, dearest, please go faster. I want your knot,” Stede whines. He knows that his lover is edging himself again and that simply won’t do!

Izzy gives in and thrusts faster, harder, and deeper. He curses when his knot forms and locks inside his partner’s contracting hole. He howls into Stede’s naked shoulder as he finishes.

“F*ck… I f*cking needed that,” Izzy admits.

“So did I,” Stede replies. He loves to be filled by his partner!

Stede and Izzy roll onto their sides, getting comfortable in their bed while waiting for Izzy’s knot to go down. Stede silently hopes it takes longer to do so tonight.
