spouse and i are planning to go to a thrift store as a belated birthday thing (nothing's ever open ON my birthday 🥲 ) and i feel excited about it, which is... wild. i haven't felt excited about anything in a long time. maybe 2026 will be ok

It does get some liquid bubbles in its wax sometimes, but at least it looks cool when it does. Overall still in really great condition.

My last art piece for 2025: I finished a unicorn plush (my own pattern) that has been sitting cut but not finished for years. I used some lovely hand-spun yarn that I found in a thrift store.

I do feel like authors doing individual autographs would tend to sign off to the side a little, or in a corner.... don't know why... It'd be cool though.
I did happen to pick up a copy of Arnie the Doughnut at a thrift store, signed by Laurie Keller. Neat but then it has some other kid's name in it

Yeah some from trades, gifts, thrift stores, online, etc over the years. No two shows are the same, and they played thousands of shows so my collection will never be complete. I like listening to them on the actual date if I can, and I have most of the days of the year covered

I need to get a battery holder to actually test it but even as a novelty this is super cool. I’d love it I could actually get some beautiful 70s crunge photos.

Even so. I got medicated, learned to sew/alter/repair clothing, painted my nails a million colours, got some nice thrift scores, traveled again, went camping for the first time, and learned to drive despite how much it freaked me out. I'd like to think I learned to better advocate for myself, too.

Top 4 thrift finds this year: Lunar games and an orange Game Cube controller during my Japan trip. A copy of Sol-Deace for Sega Genesis. An Apple HomePod I was going to buy new, but Goodwill provided. Also finally found a Namco NegCon controller.

Mimi and Pappi gave Scarlett this book for her 10th birthday and somehow it found its way into a thrift shop.
Did Scarlett not like the gift or did she just grow out of it and got rid of it?
