I use an app called Snagit by Techsmith to screen capture games on my MacBook to post on here. Been using it since 2017 and I like it for its ease of use, quickness, and how I can manually pick the region of my screen I want to capture so I can get zoomed in more mobile friendly videos for Bluesky

Ah yes, the Techsmith codecs... recommendation seems to be to record in h.264 in OBS and import that into Resolve, apparently. Delightful.

not super sure what you mean with aspect ratios, but if you mean being able to have a specific size - try snagit from techsmith

TechSmith Audiate and Camtasia do this. You can edit a Camtasia project in Audiate to handle the podcast part and it will keep track of the cuts when you return to Camtasia!
