Any use of company office supplies over your allotted weekly amount of 2 pens, 1 pencil, one pad of 2“ x 2“ Post-it notes, and a single paper cup for your tapwater will be deducted from your check. Pencil is not allowed to be used on company paper

I grew up on Galveston tapwater, which had actual flavor, but you wouldn’t want to describe it.

Obama fake-drank a glass of Flint tapwater to falsely reassure people that the problem was solved. Dude sucks.
I'm really having trouble processing the relative silence from Barack Obama about a colleague who he'd hosted at the White House, the Minnesota State House Speaker, being assassinated, but rushing to get out a weepy statement about Charlie fucking Kirk.

It's grey and drizzling here but the garden looks great. Rain is so much better than tapwater...this isn't a myth, there's something special about it. The roses look amazing, geraniums are still flowering madly, callebrochoa fab, cosmos continuing, alstromeria persisting, marigolds glowing.

Important reporting by @motherjones.com,as usual.
After reading, go to www.ewg.org/tapwater/ and enter your zip code to see what toxic chemicals might be in your drinking water. "Legal does not necessarily equal safe." 1/2

We can remove toxic forever chemicals from drinking water. Why aren't we?
Chlorine is dirt cheap, but it won't do the trick.

What people don’t realize is they absorb the same water through their skin when taking a shower. Yes, I use tapwater to make coffee or iced tea or cook my vegetables. If I’m desperate, I will drink tapwater with ice.

Just getting started. Caligula made his favourite horse a senator. Heliogabalus established a penocracy and promoted a muleteer hung like one.
Strange thing is, we can't blame lead in the plumbing nowadays. Perhaps it's the microplastics in the tapwater 🫤

Kind of weak of the associated press to go with the “some people have said framing” of Disney oversight board member Ron Peri’s past comments. He called being gay “shameful,“ called it unhealthy and suggested tapwater was making people gay!

FWIW, you absolutely CAN do saltwater on a budget. (See my tapwater reef project). The "saltwater is expensive" thing is mainly classism.

Carry a water bottle around and if you can’t remember how long since you drank from it, drink some. Refill it every chance you get because at past KubeCons, the water coolers have tended to run dry pretty early in the day. Tapwater is better than no water if it comes to that.

clarification: not saying fluoride sensitivity doesn't exist (it does), but when's the last time you heard of someone with this condition, and how difficult was it for them to adapt city tapwater for their own use?
(most reactions don't even occur from fluoride in water)

Please water your grandmothers/crochet them little bottle holders. The amount of fainting in town is no joke.
(2025 you'd think there would be easy places in town to get tapwater, but no.)

Big thing to note: I have brushed my whole mouth and can still kind of taste this stuff
The first bite was just odd, but by the third it was one of the grosser things I’ve ever eaten. Tasted essentially like bitter, oddly textured, tapwater with a horrible aftertaste that I assume is hops
