working on revamping my site using sveltekit, i have realized the complexities of react and nextjs are too much for a person who just wants to build websites to showcase their work;

Kept getting “No Internet” when refreshing my SvelteKit project with DevTools open.
Switched Chrome DevTools’ network preset to Fast 4G, and suddenly everything works again. Weird, but hey — fixed it. 😅

SvelteKit 3 / Vite 8 will be built on rolldown. You can use it now if you're adventurous!
If you're not using the new remote functions, it largely works without issue and is much faster.
We'd love help in discovering any bugs that haven't been unearthed yet! Post them at github.com/vitejs/rolld...

My latest experimentation in Svelte & SvelteKit was to revisit the i18n problem space, this time with remote function. Hoping this can add to the conversation...

in theory, you can use the Svelte compiler to just output the HTML/CSS/JS and organize however you need it, but Vite does all the job plus optimizations by default with SvelteKit

It’s all because of this massive pivot y’all have been doing with Svelte 5 / SvelteKit 2+, all the DX goodies (CLI, MCP etc.) and the fact that there is yet even more to come! 🧡

New PDS MOOver update 🐮!
- Backups now happen every 6 hrs instead of every 24 hrs
- Frontend rewritten in SvelteKit
- New npm library to create your own PDS MOOver
Overall, the site should function mostly the same way it did before, but this setup will make future updates easier.
