Some things I saw recently that I think are cool:

— New knits at Buck Mason and HE Sports
— Patek 2552 and Ed White Speedy at Wind Vintage; Patek 3448 at Sothebys; Vacheron 4072 at Menta Watches
— Italian donkeys carrying baby lambs in a special jacket

#Omega has a bunch of new variations on its Dark Side of the Moon Speedmaster. Prices from $15,700 to over $16k. At those prices and 44mm these are not for me. But the ceramic cases are cool, and the grey one would be super in a 39mm (at half the price 😜)...

We're in the "at each others throats" part of the turmoil train. The people who spend 8k on Bob Igor theme parks hate the people who spend 8k on a Speedmaster. Pretending one isn't consumerist and the other is.

Motorcycle progress.
Past. Triumph Rocket 3. 166 HP. 800 lbs. After a few years of fun terror, had to downsize.
Present. Triumph Speedmaster, 78 HP, 580 lbs. Just right, but getting heavy.
Future. Triumph 400 Scrambler, 40 HP, 400 lbs. Nice bike for my mid-70s.
I like Triumphs.
