#BlueFeltLichen is part of a group of lichens known as cyanolichens. Appearing as a large, blue-grey, scallop-like leafy shape growing on tree bark. Growing up to 10 cm in diameter. #Cyanolichens, are sensitive to air pollution, change in moisture and acid rain.

#ChimneySwifts are ENDANGERED #SpeciesAtRisk in NS.
These birds tend to nest in urban chimneys, hence the name. Chimney Swift have brown–grey feathers with a distinguished pointed body, long narrow wings, and short tail. Their flight is described as rapid and jerky.

#BrookFloaters are THREATENED #SpeciesAtRisk in Nova Scotia. The freshwater mussel is a small to medium-sized that grows to 70 mm and appears as a kidney shape. The outer shell is a mixed colour of yellowish to brownish black, while the inner shell is white or bluish. #NSWildifeSpotlight
