New Railgun is super cool! Limited weapon goes through walls, cancels bullets, utterly destroys + Sounds cool too!

I couldn't help myself but make that face when I died to a popcorn. Enjoy grumpy face lol! 😅

I recently added a new player ability to my game and well, it needed some extra love. I took it from a basic "get off me" ability, to a chargeable powerhouse thanks to a suggestion from a friend (thanks Broasty!).

The worst performing posts seem to be screenshots or video devlog-style updates in places like r/gamedev or r/SoloDevelopment and are often met with derisive and just mean comments.

It's really luck-based as to whether it gets any visibility or even upvotes.

Apparently "AI gen imagery is bad" is a controversial stance on r/solodevelopment and that is not a sad discovery I expected to face today.

I'm looking forward into following my original plan, which was building a dark fantasy, co-op game in UE5, that utilized UGC and procedural content mechanics.

Taking it all one day at a time.

After being away from game design for a while I'm finally back at it. I just finished a game jam and it's been fun. I finished early but I think it's as good as I can do. Check it out!

Very early concept of the 2000s era cyberpunk/scifi anime style I want to convey in my dice drive RPG.

Small numbers of course, I expected pretty much 0 so its nice that a few people checked it out, but I was surprised by the amount coming from the godot forum post! I threw that one up after the other stuff as an afterthought, I guess forums do have a more dedicated user base.

No bsky at all tho smh

For solo devs, how do you handle multiple roles (programming, design, art, etc.) without getting overwhelmed? #Unity3D #indiedev #solodevelopment
