At this point I have de-socialmediaed myself except for Mastodon, Pixelfed, and Bluesky, and here’s how I would describe each of those experiences:

Bluesky: Everything is really terrible right now!
Pixelfed: Wanna see some cats and abandoned buildings?
Mastodon: You look like you could use a hug.
