Can’t decide if I want to work more with fantasy subjects or abstraction. At least with abstracts I’m not drawing the same things over and over again!

I ventured outside my sketchbooks today. It’s been a while.

Coffee time sketch. My wife reads her social media feed and I doodle.

If I were serious about this, I should probably make character silhouettes, creature concepts, etc, but I’m just here to sip coffee and keep myself amused.

A bit of fun with a basic set of Sharpie Creative Markers I picked up at Walmart.

Figuring out how the coverage of each pigment: yellow is fairly translucent, followed by red and green. Blue and purple are very opaque.

No paper pilling, however.
