Of course! Totally depends on who you’re trying to speak to.
I think semweb is too intense, where everything that isn’t RDF is looked down on.

Some time ago I was worried when I saw the new web 3.0, and I had the impression semantic web technologies would lose market, but I also think there's a new chance of combining these new technologies and evolving what we had in semweb.

Indeed, it is very cool tool. It is fast, and as you mention allows to anonymise chunks of text in the README file. And it is increasingly being encoraged by AI, NLP and SemWeb conferences for their submissions:

The original idea of the Semantic Web was not just to bring knowledge representation and reasoning to the Web but to make these technologies pervasive in our use of information technology. The idea ha...

One Billion Biochemical RDF Triples!
<p>That must be a record! Eric Jain wrote on <a href="http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-semweb-lifesci/">public-semweb-lifesci</a>:</p>
<div class="language-plaintext highlighter-rouge"><div class="highlight"><pre class="highlight"><code>The latest release of the UniProt protein database contains just over a
billion triples*! PRESS RELEASE :-)
The data is all available via the (Semantic or otherwise) Web:
http://beta.uniprot.org/
...or can be bulk-downloaded from:
ftp://ftp.uniprot.org/
* Counting some reification statements, and assuming no overlap between
"named graphs".
P.S. This should be the last you'll hear from me on this topic -- I'm off
to new adventures...
</code></pre></div></div>
<p>I surely hope this is not the last we hear of this huge RDF collection.</p>

Hi everyone! Sorry that IntentToShip broke one day after I left for 5 days completely offline at 14k feet in the Himalayas 😐
I suspect that the way that Google Groups format links in emails has changed, which broke my regex.

imagine how easy it would be for ai to scrape though! bi-directional links, links to spans of words pointing to the bits other folks are using in their docs via transclusion! so it’s probably important! oh and native versioning!
(honestly, some of this was my fear with semweb)

I (partly) agree with @davekarpf.bsky.social's thesis that "Who would an agent want to help?" is a relevant question. (Answer: follow the money.) But I'd hoped one lesson the SemWeb had taught is that the information environment is adversarial. When a different audience gets access, it changes. 3/

But of course it was pretty clear to everyone that the “web” part was just marketing. Standardization of JSON (and earlier on SQL) had immense value but little to do with dumping everything into one giant data ocean. SemWeb languages were “just” a much much richer data representation.
