#reread
have reread the phrase “30-40+ inches of additional rain” several times now
Jamaica, in particular, will likely suffer catastrophic impacts from now rapidly-intensifying (but slow-moving) Hurricane #Melissa. A *Category 5* landfall now appears to be the most likely outcome, & 30-40+ inches of *additional* rain in mountains will lead to extreme flooding.

Probably best to reread to poll question and responses after you’ve had a good night’s sleep

Time for a reread of The Peripheral, I think.

Because I can't stomach a reread of The Ministry for the Future.

Shit they're going to make me reread lord of the rings aren't they.

Of the original Fellowship the one character who falls is the one who felt the constant pressure to do "great" things and succumbed.

Watched the Chainsaw Man: Reze Arc movie. It was masterclass cinema.

Already reread the manga version of the arc twice, and will be going back to theaters to watch this film again. This adaptation truly surpassed my expectations.

I’m gonna go back and reread Chris Hayes’ essay from the weekend about how democrats don’t take enough risks and have a good long laugh
A huge story is which Democrat campaign consultants were in charge of vetting Platner. They raised millions from donors, large and small, got paid handsomely for it, then promptly delivered to those donors a non-viable candidate.
Generally speaking, it is not a good sign when reporters need to spend this much space explaining all the previous bad things you just did in order to contextualize the new, also-bad thing you did.

Seeing spoiler discourse again and I gotta say, if spoilers matter then no piece of media has any reread/rewatch/replay value. It’s not about what happens, it’s seeing how we get there.

itching to reread all of Tomie. I feel like it might eclipse Uzumaki as Ito's best on this read. At the very least, Tomie is one of the most interesting monsters ever created.

I would invite you to send me the penal code section (dc or federal) that makes this illegal. I’d also invite you to reread my post. here’s some clarity: the power dynamic involved is disgusting and id be happy for that to be illegal.

I have been hijacked into a Kelley Armstrong reread though, while I try to decide if I am brave enough to buy her new horror novel. I do not, as a rule, read horror. But I do, as a rule, read everything Kelley Armstrong writes. YOU SEE MY DILLEMA.

(I will totally buy it. lol)

Okay USA, I know you have plenty of other things going on at the moment, but my new book An Academic Affair will be released in your country in only a few weeks (11 November!!), and if you wanted to pre-order it, I would simply love that.
