MOSCOW: Gold prices jumped more than two percent on Tuesday, surpassing the US$4,700 mark per troy ounce for the first time in history, according to trading data, Sputnik/RIA Novosti reported. As of 5:10 GMT, the price of gold futures for February on the New York Comex exchange increased by US$108.71, or 2.37 percent, from the previous close to US$4,704.11 per troy ounce, thus setting a new all-time high.
