Two of about 30 Band-tailed Pigeons (Patagioenas fasciata) being shy at #PtReyes earlier this month. Challenging to see these beauties high in the canopy, but can't miss their flapping in the forest. Always happy to see these migrants return.💚

These #PtReyes Tule elk bulls were having words. That first guy had a harem of at least 12 cows, so mr. bugle was working his way around their periphery, trying to entice them. 💚
