A truly pluralistic society needs to tolerate a pluralism of human temperaments, too. That seems to be our biggest blind spot right now. We seem to think everyone needs to go to war with each other until we all have basically the same universal temperament. (1/2)

Many of the anti-pluralism trends we are seeing right now in Canadian higher education have their own root in Canada & calling them imported is only part of the story. In 2018 @evehawk.bsky.social & I organized a symposium addressing the emergence of Peterson but also the longer history of the trend
