HPC supercomputers look a lot like datacenters, lots of densely-packed compute blades running purpose-built hardware. Rack density is prized because speed of light is a limit. Usually meant to one run physics job at a time.
Unlike cloud: no expansion w/o buying. "pets, not cattle". Diff interfaces
