Someone must understand how I feel. Lily has heart failure and nodules in the lungs. She will die. I doubt she'll make it to the end of the month. That being said, knowing her time is dwindling down, I "spoil" her quite a bit:

It’s been 2 months, and it still doesn’t feel real that she’s gone and never coming back. The hole in my heart will never heal, she was my entire teenage life to the last year of my 20’s.

It’s officially been one month since I lost her. I’m grieving for her every day, but today just hits a little harder than the others.
I don’t know how I’m gonna go on the rest of my life without her. I miss her so much, I flip back and forth between denial and acceptance.

I've never been great at drawing animals or was ever super interested in learning
But my Maple, who just turned three, suddenly died this past Thursday
I'll learn to draw animals for her, spend hours practicing for her

it's honestly kind of wild how differently G and I deal with emotions
like we just got the news that Jane is in fact diabetic, which is what I expected, so we will have to keep her rainbow bridge appointment as expected, and I'm like...that's sad. it sucks. But I expected this. #petdeath

Losing two rats in the space of a month is fucking *brutal*.
This is part of owning pets, and when the first rat died, I think I took it really well - but then it's literally 2 weeks later and then out of nowhere the second one declines in days. I was not recovered yet.

Ms. Onyx update: miraculously still alive. Unsure how except she clearly understood the conversation I had with the vet about euthanasia and said Not Yet. Eating & drinking well and using the pee pad instead of the carpet which makes her a good and smart cat.

Ughhhh I'm SO sorry. #petdeath is the worst. Decision making is The Worst. But you are making the right decision. Give her the best life you can until you cannot. Spoil her, remove her pain, give her treats and all the love until she tells you it's Time.
