Circumcision is not a medical procedure and cannot be recommended based on "medical benefits" according to key members of the AAP's taskforce that released the 2012 religion-based statement about circumcision.

Great to see the improvements along the South Express MCR at Mandeville street! A new beg button has been installed on the west side and cycle light timing has been improved, significantly reducing waiting times for peds and cyclists! TY CCC for making cycling improvements!

figured it had to be there but the narrow view didn't give me an idea of how the intersection was constructed. Wasn't sure if this was "car go against a red" or "green for both cars and peds with predictable results" and the car that hit you was behind you and turning right same time you were.

I think a lot of intimidating presence includes things that are not clearly conveyed through text. As a career Peds Nurse and Large Male, I deliberately built much of my expression around being a /friendly/ giant. I think you'd have to be around me in person to know that, though.

Windy's comments on the NBA pulling Rozier & Porter get at what I have been saying for years.
In some % of cases, the NBA has under the table suspensions that are sold as injuries or load mgmt. Now extrapolate from that the rarity of players getting in trouble for PEDs/gambling in NBA vs NFL/MLB

I am not sure if it's possible or worthwhile to disentangle the impact of more peds/cyclists from impact of density and lower per-capita VMT, since they're all closely related, but the trend is serious crash rates go down as peds/cyclists/density goes up.

Your observations are spot on. Precharting for my peds patients immediately has me review immunization status . This is particularly important with the number of patients presenting with fevers and rashes this fall. It’s disheartening to see the number of unvaccinated or alternative schedules.

only that gambling is much, much worse than drugs of abuse (PEDs are another issue) for sports because goes against the core tenants of competition. A league can survive a PR crisis and help its players recover from addiction, it cannot survive a loss of faith in the honesty of its games.

I feel like the 2030s is going to be the alternative medicine equivalent of the AIDS epidemic. We've got people giving themselves brain damage with CO2, women taking illicit gear without consulting an endo, like 1/5th of men taking PEDs. Everybodys going to be getting cancer and having heart attacks

I am worried about the lapse in authorization for Medicaid telehealth. My patients live 6 hrs from peds specialists. Travel is especially hard and stressful for families of special needs children, instead of a video call to review labs, xray results, etc.
