#partsmaster
I finished assembling a new guitar from parts--a partsmaster, as they're sometimes called. The body is based on a Fender Jazzmaster. I bought pickups from a small maker named Malinoski; they're based on old DeArmond gold-foil pickups. I like the sound.

My laptop still works fine, no issues. However, the model isn't manufactured anymore. I went to Currys and was directed to the partsmaster site, but they "can't find" the part. Not sure what my next step should be, outside of returning to Currys and asking them to help me search. Or, calling Acer.

This partsmaster has been kicking around my shop for the last couple of years. I finally found some time to finish it up. I made the neck and used it as a chance to experiment with resin block inlays. The lipstick pickup actually blends really well with the JM pickups.

This is my main Jazzmaster ♥️

Basically I found this weird neck on eBay a few years ago. It's supposedly off an old AST that got refin'd. No serial but it's got the right factory markings and looks and feels like a 20ish year old fender neck.
I could never find a body I liked for it.
