Personal win: after 5 years of orthodontics and 7 jaw surgeries within 3 years, and truly horrific physical/mental suffering, I no longer have to go to the orthodontist or orthognathic surgeon for check ups.

i know keojampa is willing to do this. the ffs doctors who also do orthognathic seem to Get It. but i can't get orthognathic from a strictly aesthetic doctor bc it is also a medical thing for me, like i might need to get total joint replacement. so im trying to build a care team here

My jaw doesn’t align correctly. It was suggested that I have 1 to 3 orthognathic surgeries PLUS braces. With hospital stays and follow-ups, I was looking at 20k+. The consultation wasn’t even covered. The ops manager said those surgeries are only covered after car accidents.
