I think they're on time delay because there must have been a break between the opera and zarzuela portions. Jury is deliberating.
I don't envy them. There's a real embarrassment of riches here. I'd be happy to have almost any of the singers at the Met tomorrow. #operalia

Russian soprano Samira Galimova singing "Non mi dir" from DON GIOVANNI. She sang a fantastic "Dall'amor sul'alli rosee" in the semifinals. I think she has a very good chance of winning for Female Voice. #operalia

Italian tenor Dave Monaco sings "Si ritrovalo lo giuro" from LA CENERENTOLA.
He also did an excellent "Cessa di piu resistere" in the semifinals.

I don't know if the singers are getting only one opera aria, and she's not competing in the zarzuela competition, but I would love to hear her in Verdi.

I will be watching and possibly live-skeeting the final of the Operalia competition on Medici TV.
If this magnificent young bass doesn't win, it may be because he doesn't NEED to. He's already recorded Fiesco and has lots of high-profile engagements in the UK.

Grisha Matirosyan sings "Amor vida de mi vida". Both here and in the semifinals, I liked him more in the zarzuela than in the opera. Possibly a language issue? Maybe the arias he picked don't show him at his best. #operalia

Réputé parmi les concours lyriques, Operalia s’installe chaque année dans une capitale musicale différente. Après Mumbai l’année dernière ou Cape Town l’année précédente, le concours sera de retour en Europe en 2025 pour se tenir cette fois à Sofia, en Bulgarie.
