Went to my first protest today, age 62. I live in dark red TN in a very small town. Even so, there was a good showing. Folks older than me to some young parents with their elementary/middle school age kids. Lots of support from passersby on the road. A few birds, but 10x more thumbs. NO KINGS!!!

It's comforting to know I'm not alone, but boy do I wish it wasn't happening to us. The older I get the less capable I am of ignoring it and I've just about run out of patience.

Once again, ppl pointed out it was mostly older ppl there & wondered why there weren't more young ppl. Met lots of nice ppl in a town I love. A couple of ppl drove over an hr cuz it was the closest one. #NOKINGS

I got lucky mom put older stepsis on the pill and I was to young to be able to cause that before that and dodge this fully at 30 when I got snipped no more condoms more worries about any sort of knock 😉🤣🤣🤣

I think it's honestly pretty easy to tell when people actually have something of a vision for what they want for pokemon though even then that doesn't make their points salient, like I've seen a lot of "they need to make the gyms SUPER hard because pokemon should aim at older fans now"

Apparently (take w salt) this is because of copyright issues due to Mayoi Uta being based on an older folk song??? Which seems odd to me but idk how copyright works. Whatever the case I’m fucking rattled and fumes.

I have one grandkid, am closer to the end of my 60s,and getting older for me has meant not giving so many f*cks as to what others think..thank god so far I'm in good health, walk and move my body well. I attribute a lot of that to 35+yrs yoga,an active lifestyle, nutrition..🤞

Blfc this year was also the first con in a while where i felt the older con vibes. The zoo was so chill and people would just come and hang and draw with us it was awesome. I really love when cons give attendees some spaces to sit and hang out and chat…

One of the wildest things about getting older is that even when you're in your like 30s-40s or whatever you meet people even older and just kinda think "wow i hope i'm like you when i get older". There's a couple older queer folks I talk to and it's just like this feeling of "I can get through this"

I wouldnt mind but I only support them cause I'm a 90s bandwagon kid whose best friends older brother supported them 😂 got a few good years out of it at least! Leinster, I've been a season ticket holder for 20 years now so I've seen this rollercoaster before

Each year some Paxillus fruit around a non-native Birch tree in some amenity grassland near to my house. When I checked last year I eventually decided that the large ones at least were Paxillus obscuriporus. This year some of the older specimens have got a mould (Penicillium sp?)

Same in Saline Michigan. Lots of older people (older than me and I’m 59) and many veterans who are very unhappy about what is happening . Everyone was so kind and it was a really joyful experience
