"Meet Me at the Sabacc Table" is by real-world indie band Joywave from Rochester, NY, whose latest album "Permanent Pleasure" was released last year. To my ear they have a sort of sample-heavy appealing OKGo sort of sound.

Dear Dan, Jon Cryer will be the new drummer for OKGO. Jon will be taking private lessons with Ringo and Mickey Hart of the Grateful Dead. Jon has a small jazz drum set with a large kick drum,snare, high hat. Jon has a set of tom toms including three high toms in different keys and a floor tom.

When some bands do it like Okgo or Paramore it feels genuine like they want to expand and try something new. When its like Mania by Fall Out Boy or Gossip by Sleeping With Sirens its "ok you guys are clearly scared to use guitars and are panic moving to pop" to me.

I’ll raise you one! It’s also a formative experience when you think a new and different album is bad only to realize that the new album is different not bad. I felt this way about OkGo. I love them
It is SUCH a formative experience the first time your favorite artist releases a bad album. I envy all the kids going through it this week, you’re about to learn so much about the world! You’re learning how to let go!
