Surprise, more Kem Kem theropods! Here's a small indeterminate noasaurid, between 2-3m long, known from fragmentary remains. With smaller animals, I am drawn to vivid colours and flashier displays - like the speculative skin flap on the tail. Size comparison below ⬇️

This is the smallest dinosaur here! I'm certain there must have been birds around, but as far as I can tell, no fossils have been found, or at least, none have been clearly identified.

🦖 Daily Paleo 🦖; Berthasaura leopoldinae

From Early Cretaceous Goio-Erê Formation, Brazil, the 1 meter "Bertha lizard" is a noasaurid ceratosaur sporting features convergent with oviraptors. It's thought they had teeth as juveniles that were lost and replaced with a beak in adults

In the case of Deltadromeus, where so much information is missing, I went with the noasaurid model rather than the ceratosaur. There's always a chance that future finds will negate this model, but I'll cross that bridge when we get there. If we get there.

In tonight’s fairly unique #Paleostream, there was no typical flocking but rather a great flock of dragons! Many people drew along, myself included. Here’s my Night Fury (as a bird), Speed Stinger (as a Noasaurid), and Shellfire (as a huge jawless fish). #dragons #HTTYD #dragonart #specevo #spiteart

Next up is Deltadromeus agilis, definitely an interesting taxon to try to reconstruct! We went down the carnivorous noasaurid route in the end. This colour scheme was partially inspired by the Tigrisoma heron species, particularly the Fasciated Tiger-Heron.

A noasaurid falls off a cliff. Was he pushed? We'll never know.

A propos a certain discussion---

Tiny arms are not always an example of "vestigialization." These limbs can remain not only functional, but developed unique features, remaining a region of the body prone to evolutionary adaptation. That this happened in herbivorous taxa is under-explored.

Reconstruction of noasaurid Kiyacursor longipes from the Early Cretaceous of the Kemerovo region (Russia). It's known by partial postcranial skeleton including articulated hindlimbs. Kiyacursor had cursorial adaptations and could run quickly from predators.

Meep! Meep! concept sketch of a group of Berthasaura

Berthasaura leopoldinae was a small noasaurid (a group of abelisaurians) that lived during the Late Cretaceous in South America. In the background you can see a group of Caiuajara (a tapejarid pterosaur) flying around

Hi all, this is my first post on this website! Here are examples of my works. I love drawing theropods, as I said in profile description, but these are not only subjects I depict. I work both in traditional and digital media (but these pics are mostly tradtitional).

It's kinda nuts how many interpretations there are of Deltadromeus, this is the first time I've ever seen someone make the Noasaurid version of this animal.
