Jack Smith is about to navigate a political and legal minefield during his testimony this morning to House Judiciary.
Jack Smith wants to tell Congress about his Trump investigations. That comes with risks.
The House Judiciary Committee will question the former special counsel behind closed doors.

When I was younger, I struggled with my mental health in ways that I'm sure felt impossible for others to navigate at times. I am grateful for the people who didn't give up on me.

And I won’t pretend that I can navigate all the gray areas easily but my patience for namby-pamby excuses just because someone likes a film or actor is pretty thin.

When you have to reach to defend, that’s where I draw the line.

In a world without Section 230:

😩 Big Tech companies everyone hates would win. Giants like Meta and Google have armies of lawyers to navigate compliance

😩 Alternative platforms like Bluesky and Mastodon would likely shut down, along with Wikipedia, review sites, how-to resources, small forums, etc

I am in fact tired of it being my responsibility to navigate around embedded AI.
“Don’t worry it will be opt out.” Is something I am so tired of hearing. We need software that you don’t need to defend yourself from.

The heartbreaking loving words of Rob and Michele’s kids.
Pray for their strength.
May love surround them as they try to navigate this new reality.

Throwback Thursday to April 10, 2021 when nine-weeks-old Baby Zeke was learning how to navigate stairs. 😊

Like, does anyone involved in writing & editing this story have an elderly relative? You know, someone who can get around their home OK but might find it exhausting and painful to navigate a huge space like an airport on foot?

How the hell did the Ukrainians pull this one off?

Did they navigate a sea drone through the Bosporus? Did they smuggle it into the Mediterranean on their own little shadow ship? Did someone help them do this?

They also don’t offer a just walk with you to your plane option. We use it for our grandma who has some dementia so she can’t always easily navigate a busy airport by herself. We’d take the just hang with you option but they do wheels chairs.

Oh man I need advice on how to navigate the world should I read the Bible or the words of Martin Luther King Jr or listen to a podcast from Jim Davis called “Odie at Large”?

One of the most difficult things you will navigate if you develop a serious illness/disability (before you're retirement home aged) is every corner of society is telling you to "just go away". Everyone--government and even many folks you counted as friends--wants you to be someone else's problem.
Folks need to examine philosophically why it is that—in the span of just a couple of years—the leaders of the American Democratic, Canadian Liberal & British Labour Parties have all gone all in on assisred suicide (while making healthcsre harder to attain) www.cityandstateny.com/policy/2025/...

The first Pirates of the Caribbean film, but only the first of them, managed to successfully navigate the pirates ranging from villainous to anti-heroic while retaining audience sympathy and interest. I'm not even angry at them for failing to pull this off again, I think it's just legit difficult.

I had a thread on my old account that was basically about this. In short, it's hard to navigate this question when people mean drastically different things by the same words, we all need to try to be generous and see things from another person's perspective when there's other indicia of good faith.
By this standard which nobody actually adheres to Jews would be precluded from identifying as Zionist because of what Zionism means to every Palestinian on the planet. Is this standard reciprocal or do are there competing claims on the basis of standpoint which need to be independently interrogated?
I'll say it again: if any other ethnic or religious minority said "please don't use this particular term or chant, you might not have bad intentions but it is deeply racist and threatening to us", the reaction would be mortified apology.

And that's without a mass terror event four days ago

In the UK I was planning on listening to it, but even I'm not enough of a masochist to wake up to listen to racist grandpa and his greatest hits of eugenics. Not when I have to navigate my way through an imaginary 'no-go zone' to get to work in the morning.

I don't think you can navigate the world as A Weird without building up an entire verbal arsenal that will get Those People away as quickly as possible. And I don't even mean just protecting myself--my desire to shield other folks who are Othered is fierce.

Really confused what 'line skipping' the article is accusing them of too. It's not a Disney ride, it's a plane. It leaves at the same time for everyone and there's no real benefit to getting on the plane early, unless *you need help with mobility and can't navigate the crowded boarding process*

Have you lived even until you’ve spent an afternoon swerving around piles of potatoes and had to navigate road closures from stacks of burning manure?
