I was thinking about planting pollinator seeds with my daughter’s ashes. She loved flowers and this illustration is exactly what I envisioned for her meadowscape. Wow, her hair even grew like this. Thank You for sharing.

If you're interested in attracting #birds with your "meadowscape,' Audubon offers a wealth of information: www.audubon.org/plantsforbirds. Your local @audubon.org chapter and native plant nurseries can also help you identify the best native plants for your area. #gardening

By noon today I successfully made my front meadowscape wedding-guest-resistant and hard to step on 😁 I sense maybe 1-2 projects left in my body but I'm done for (0 projects) if the weather gets dreary

Listening to Midwest emo mixes again but like with a little hope. Here's a Pic of the journal spread I did today, because I'm trying to do that again. Fingers crossed. Oh also a photo of a vampire bat from the museum exhibit I went to

Annual fall seed order, yay!

I've been turning my yard from a hot terrible gravel mess into a diverse mini ecosystem. I get seeds from a few places, but Northwest Meadowscapes (northwestmeadowscapes.com) is my favorite.

They put so much care and creativity into their work.

My meadowscaped front lawn in spring makes me so pleased. We have gone through some very ugly phases with it but knew it would take time. Worth it.

Yes! We converted our front lawn to a meadowscape and even with only mulch over cardboard birds started arriving. Now on a typical day I see bluejays, cardinals, goldfinches, house finches, grackles, starlings, mourning doves, chickadees, nuthatches, downy woodpeckers, and sparrows.

Blanket flower is a wonderful addition to a meadowscape or garden and is native to most of the western and northern US states. 💚🌼
The wildflower extravaganza of summer on the prairie has started and I'm OK with that. Here's some blanketflower (Gaillardia aristata)
