🦉 Mammillaria parkinsonii

白い棘の間から黄色の蕾が出てきています ボディは濃い緑色ですが棘のおかげで白っぽい印象 背後にはシクラメンや木立性ベゴニアの葉が写っています こちらはまだ蕾が棘の外には出てきていない株 棘の間のくぼんだ部分に黄色い蕾がいくつも見えています 昨年より多いかもしれません 背後に写るピンク色はシクラメンの花です

ok y’all since i 1st saw this species of mammillaria last year i became obsessed! the 1 i saw this morning had a seed pod on it and it was pretty much fallen off so i took it to see if there were seeds… THERE WERE SEEDS!! im so excited to try and grow these guys🌵
small Mammillaria perezdelarosae cactus. it has straight white spines as well as black, hooked shaped spines that stick out. the cactus a crown of light pink flower buds on the top a separate Mammillaria perezdelarosae cactus with a single hot pink seed pod on the left side of it a close up of the seed pod. it’s broken open to reveal tiny black seeds small, round black seeds, about the size of a pin head, drying out on a paper towel. there are some stains of red from the juice of the seed pod

My Plant of the Day (79)

Native to Mexico, Mammillaria elongata consists of densely packed clusters of thin oval stems, covered in soft-ish yellow or brown radial spines. Also known as the ladyfinger cactus, they will produce white or pale yellow flowers with pink center lines.

not the wildest bokeh in my collection, but i like it

excellent find this morning!! echinocereus engelmannii or “arizona hedgehog cactus”. the bright green caught my eye & i had to get a closer look. it clearly enjoyed the heavy rains we got a couple weeks ago. i didn’t even notice the mammillaria on the bottom left til i looked back at the pics!
