I can remember seeing them on SNL on a split bill with The Dream Academy and finally deciding I'd had enough of my folks' Beatles LPs.

The Live at the Lyceum album is also worth checking out. Especially "Moya."

After meditating about today and my safety, I decided that my best use of this time is to create vibrations that speak to the intention.

Protest songs inspire, provoke thought, and spur folks into action.

I shall play the piano and listen to LPs that reflect this sentiment.

How it started v. how it ended...

24 quid's worth of 1970's vinyl, including the one 'proper' Status Quo LP I was missing and an interesting-looking JEan-Luc Ponty live album.

Irish traditional singer Maighread Ní Dhomhnaill is my guest on #ForTheRecord tomorrow, Sunday 19/10/25, at 6pm on @rtegold.bsky.social. I was privy to the better half of her delightfully diverse #recordcollection up northwest.

dit is 'm niet. Behalve singles Bizarre Love Triangle en State of the Nation is alleen Angel Dust goed. Broken Promise kan er mee door, maar de rest is filler, het typische 80s probleem met veel mainstream LPs. Drie ballen

nu nog de non-album singles uit dezelfde periode

Hanging out in my mate’s gaff last night, got blazed & listened to 3 Richard H Kirk LPs in a row. Good times. This one is a doozy. I mean, even if you never heard it before you’d get a bang of nostalgia off it - warprecords.bandcamp.com/track/lagoon...

👏 too few people know this album, but it’s great.

Got my copy at a bookstore that had a few LPs someone had given them.

Well, everything Hot Tuna put out was great.

A fabulous collection it took me a while to gather together all the LPs. I also bought the CD box set with its great booklet - very good value. The first 4 releases will be 50 years old this December!

Oh, that's unfortunate. It was her biggest commercial success, but not representative of her work. But, artists gotta eat, too. It's like only knowing one Beatles, or Zeppelin song.

At one point, I owned 17 different Melanie LPs, plus some duplicates.

Sadly, we lost her last year.

yes, mostly, but lyrics only is one thing, and I am a lyrics guy.
I have over a dozen Dylan LPs and their duplicate CDs and compilations, but busting out a the full range of lyrics and melody & orchestration
is not a Dylan thing. This is a different category. IIMS

It's a bit depressing how many people on r/Kunaki are using the service to make their "just for my personal use I swear" bootlegs of other peoples' CDs and vinyl LPs, and act entitled to do such because they "don't know how to make music."

I see that happen sometimes on r/elasticStage too but […]

When she was a pre-teen, she was super into Littlest Petshop toys and the Warriors book series. One time I went in her room to tell her it was dinner time. Random LPS figures were corralled by Fischer Price fencing. “Why are those guys corralled, honey?” My kid “they’re food, duh.”

in sf they're definitely the same. money flows straight from the Middle East through LPs to AI companies to workers pulling mid-six-figure salaries to their landlords.
