Vhi is a switch, he doesn't mind either way. Though he exclusively bottomed when he and Estinien were still friends with benefits and they never really questioned it, it just worked. Since they are in a relationship & especially since Aymeric joined them they have become more experimental

Well, Estinien's family is dead and Alberic... Vhian has some personal gruffs with him as a mentor but generally they get along.
Aymeric's parents are also (presumably?) dead but they were always kind to him when he met them in the past.

Vhian used to be a crybaby as a child but nowadays he barely does. He learned that crying won't do anything to help when he was bullied, so he taught himself to stay strong and endure.

Vhian always saw sex as a way to let off steam and having a fwb was convenient in that regard, so he never really cared for intimacies
