#lidarr
I just made a @jellyfin.org media server automatic install script. It installs the apps you want (jellyfin, plex, sonarr, radarr, lidarr, prowlarr, jackett, plex, etc.), sets permissions and users automatically, and guides you step-by-step to configure the server. Check it out!

I created this tool to help my friends self-host their own media servers. So they can watch their movies and series without headaches

A fast way to run your own media server using Radarr, Lidarr, Readarr, and Bazarr

What do you think of the project?

It is so incredibly easy to get nearly anything you want for free in the year of our Lord 2025. Usenet still exists. Bittorrent still exists and VPNs are cheap. The DHT is expensive. Radarr, Sonarr, and Lidarr are incredible.

I've been wanting to accomplish this for a while. I finally got around to building a self hosted automated media management suite running on docker
in my #homelab

- jellyfin
- jellyseer
- gluetun
-- qbittorrent
-- prowlarr
-- flaresaverr
-- radarr
-- sonarr
-- lidarr
-- readarr

I've been really liking navidrome. Easy to set up, and generally pretty good. Needs beets or lidarr (?) or other library management, though

feishin is a good desktop client & symfonium is a great android client - I mostly just shuffle the d&b or jungle genres if im honest though

OH MY GOD LIDARR SEARCH WORKS AGAIN
December 4, 2025 at 9:44 PM
Spending weeks raging in musicbrainz Picard only for lidarr to skip about half the files on import

Ok, I got Radarr, Sonarr, and Lidarr all working... Let's rock!

I spent ages doing the same with my film collection. Then found out about the arr’s.
A tool can do it all for me, once set up.

Soul destroying at first.
Now, things happen automagically.

I cannot get the music one to work

sends me a new song to listen to, especially if I'm not at home to download it?

With Spotify, I click a link and listen to it.

With a custom setup, even if I used Lidarr, I'd have to either come up with a custom system to auto add, or log into an interface and find the song.

That doesn't --

Apple music: surprisingly good across platforms not just Apple. Really good recommendations for finding new music (shuffle feature is kinda busted). The Cider client is super cool, and great selection

Lidarr is an option if you plan to sail the high seas :)

i can't get lidarr to work again. this whole metadata-stuff is so broken....
November 20, 2025 at 8:52 PM
when i rebuilt my stack recently in docker containers i excluded lidarr from the list because it uses a centralized api server that was down for nearly a whole year and i can't live like that

You know what would get me to pay for Lastfm subscription? Closer integration with Lidarr & Plex. Making it easier to discover new artists and adding them would definitely make it worth it
