I know Phainon/Khaslana is meant to be an expy of Kevin, but holy shit, the way he mirrors *Welt* is insane.

Or Khaslana himself made him and his plan known. But that makes no sense.
He can’t kill the current Cycle’s Phainon now, so I have no idea what his plan even is. Go after the Chrysos Heirs while leaving Phainon alive, to let him kill him at the end of the Cycle…….??

The near 20mil cycles until the Hyacine scene was damn well more than 10k yrs. So the whole scene just isn’t adding up to me as it being a Flame Reaver/Khaslana vs That Cycle’s Phainon situation.
Unless the Phainon of that Cycle is aware of Khaslana and warned the Chrysos Heirs in advance.

But at the same time, he was being addressed as a Flame Chaser, unlike the previous cycles before Khaslana’s change of plans. As if, during that cycle, he was playing the role of Phainon, while also still being Khaslana? AUGH. My head hurts.

Maybe I’m just dumb, and everyone was already aware there was two of “Phainon” post-Khaslana implementing his new methods. But the dialogue before Hyacine’s battle is still confusing. Khaslana wasn’t donning the Flame Reaver look yet… but Hyacine addressed him as if there was no Phainon of that era.

Also, Khaslana appeared to begin his new plan on the 4,000,001th cycle. Yet during the Hyacinthia part, millions of cycles later, it still appeared to be Khaslana… but she addressed him as Phainon and Khaslana… How was that working out. Wasn’t the Phainon of that era supposed to reach the end first?
