Octopus Gryphon really needs a Tomoe River or similar paper to show off on
names of all the swatched inks from above, written in their respective inks in cursive Anderillium Golden Gate Vermillion, the exact rust red of the Golden Gate bridge Octopus Gryphon, medium dark pinky brown, still not showing off it's green sheen Teranishi Guitar Gentle Green in spruce pine needle blue-green Sailor Yurameku Kangyou, a frosty purple grey Sailor Utah in rich orange with a hint of brown shading "Taccia 茶", written in Taccia 茶 ink, a dark, warm tea brown

Inks are always hard to photograph, but, I’d say that of these swatches, Petrichor resembles the Sailor Kangyou and Kyokkou the most, with Kangyou being a little darker and more grey and Kyokkou being a little lighter and having more pink/green stand out

I’d say the Troublemaker inks are definitely the most waters of this lot. It makes them great for inkwash, maybe not so much for writing haha. If you like Petrichor, you might want to try out Sailor Kangyou? It’s a similar spectrum of hues but a little less green and, I find, faster drying
