Went to JapanFes in NYC with my bestie today~ 😆✨

It was fun even tho the food was so overpriced 😅
I liked the カツサンド the best

My legs are tired from walking but I’m glad it wasn’t too hot, it’s even breezy now

Had a mocktail + corn salsa with tortilla chips for dinner

Overall, a very good day 😊

I'm supposed to be going out repeatedly in may so I should probably be saving money. plus if I go to to nyc then I'm just gonna end up going to japanfes anyway so I should probably just go to a nearby restaurant instead ☠️

JapanFes is back but it was hella crowded Day 1. Just settled on a Boba float and checked out the latest Book Off location that just opened yesterday.

I found my girlfriend there btw.

IIRC @stephenjacobsmith.bsky.social said he hates these, but I genuinely enjoy the semi-frequent JapanFes/DragonFest/etc.. street fairs (they usually have Filipino and Korean sections too, interspersed with random ones.) They are huge and disruptive, but they have genuinely good vendors at them.

NYC JapanFes food festival. I wish I could eat more, because most of the offerings are solid. Just a bit sad that the one booth that serves a really delicious yuzu lemonade just sold out as I got there.

Picked up some delicious bites at today's JapanFes in NYC. Not pictured was some items and pretty damn good yuzu lemonade w/ Vermont maple syrup added to it.
