IBC岩手放送が、緊急銃猟を実施しない盛岡市に対して、なぜか批判的な報道をしているが、理由がよく分からない。
今のところ盛岡市は、逃げ出せない場所に入り込んでしまったクマに対しては、動物園の獣医さんを呼んで吹き矢麻酔で眠らせてからドラム缶に入れて運搬する、という方法を取っており、いずれのケースも上手く対処できているように見える。
吹き矢麻酔ができる人材がごく限られている、という問題はあるけれど、銃の方が安全に対処できるとは限らないし、そもそも市街地を走り回るクマは撃てないわけで、緊急銃猟に期待しすぎでは。

Restrictive zoning isn't really the issue here — the problem of windowless bedrooms primarily arises in buildings above 3 stories.

It's more about the unit layouts that the IBC (US building code) forces modern mid-rise buildings into — deep & single-aspect.

IBC-G committee just voted to approve G143-25, which will – if ultimately approved (and most things are) – ban windowless bedrooms in apartment in the 2027 IBC. It was a close one and the chair had to break the tie. As written, it would apply to rehabs of existing buildings, not just new ones.

A&W is great from an A&W. Mug.. Barqs.. meh. IBC is decent, but it's just very oversold at restaurants as "Here's our *fancy* root beer."
Then there's a lot of other mainstream brands that have their basic versions. Store brands, Faygo, etc. Mediocre compared to formulated stuff.
